Join us at Jesse Brown’s Outdoors for Storyteller’s Night, an evening featuring three individuals with fascinating stories to share. From exploring the history of our own neighborhoods to traveling coast to coast and building something extraordinary, each storyteller brings a unique perspective on life, adventure, and the experiences that connect us.
The format is simple: three storytellers, three twenty-minute stories, and time for questions and conversation. Come ready to listen, laugh, learn, and discover something new.

Gary Dickison — Go At Life
What connects humble beginnings, hard work, college sports, family, and building a business? Gary Dickison shares a journey shaped by perseverance, unexpected opportunities, teamwork, and a passion for creating something special.

Drew Thrasher — Hike Your City
History isn’t just found in books or museums. Sometimes, it’s right outside your front door.
Drew Thrasher shares how an interest in history and hiking grew into an effort to bring neighbors together during the pandemic. From the Urban Hike to the SouthPark Loop, discover the stories behind the places we pass every day and explore the past, present, and future of the SouthPark District.
It’s a reminder that adventure doesn’t always require a long drive or a distant destination. Sometimes, it starts right in your own neighborhood.
Jonathan Miller — Coast to Coast
Every great journey has a beginning, and some journeys leave a lifetime of memories.
Jonathan Miller takes us back to a 1976 cycling adventure, sharing stories of the people, challenges, fears, and successes that shaped the experience. From the early days of cycling and Ambassador College to a 2026 reunion and the goal of completing the Lower 48, this story explores the lasting connections created by a journey across the country.
It’s a story about perseverance, relationships, and the roads that bring people together.
An Evening of Stories and Conversation
Storyteller’s Night is about more than listening to a presentation. It’s an opportunity to connect with people, discover new perspectives, and ask the questions that make a good story even better.
Each storyteller will have approximately twenty minutes to share their journey, followed by time for audience questions.
Whether you’re drawn to local history, cross-country adventures, entrepreneurship, or simply hearing how other people experience the world, there’s something here for you.
