Jesse Brown’s has always had a close associaton with Scouting. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts alike have used Jesse Brown’s as an outfitter since our founding in May of 1970.
Recently more of our area Boy Scouts have been attending the New Mexico Scout Camp, Philmont.
The Scouts and their leaders learn to get outside their comfort zone, see what they can be challenged with & learn life lessons along the way.
Good boots, a fitted pack & trustworthy gear is a must for Philmont due to the high amount of adventure involved.
Ted Johnson, a Charlotte-area Scout leader recently returned from a July trip to Philmont, stated “We had a great time. All I can say is that we traveled 70 miles in 10 days and went as high as 10,400 feet. Yes, the views were breath taking!”
Nonetheless, character, merit badges & lifelong friendships & memories are made on a trip to Philmont.Plus, sometimes it just wears you out.
