My packing list is difficult to formulate given the diverse activities that my trip will involve. I’m sure I’ll forget something, mostly because I’m packing last-minute for a single trip to Hawaii and Backcountry skiing in Tahoe. The drastic differences in terrain and sport require specialized gear that I will undoubtedly need to replace when I realize that I’ve forgotten to pack in my haste. Oh well. Buying shiny new equipment is half the fun of outdoor adventures, right?
I cram everything into a ski box and rolling duffle. The first leg of my outing is flying to Reno, dumping all my ski kit at a friend’s, repacking the duffle for Oahu, dinner and drinks with my friend, then early to bed for a 3:30am wakeup to catch my flight to Honolulu. As it happened, the drinks started while I was repacking so I’m interested to see what
