New Management at Jesse Brown’s

In a shocking turn of events, the Jesse Brown’s team you know and love was ousted from the store this morning by a new management group, bent on bringing a modern touch to the store. Despite having been involved for 31 years with the business, Bill Bartee received no forewarning about the impending change of personnel. He had this to say after the incident:

Last look at the old management team

“I’m shocked. I never thought this is how my time with Jesse Brown’s Outdoors would end. Guess I have time to actually go fly fishing now, and not just talk about it all the time. I hear the Little Sugar Creek has some wicked Brown Trout this time of year,” Bartee said.

From what we were able to piece together from the involved parties, the New Management Team (NMT) simply strolled into the store at 10:00 AM and declared the old team defunct and themselves as the new operators of the business. Lachlan, leader of the NMT shared this with us:

“I made sure my New Team had matching Jesse Brown’s T shirts, and that I had an imposing demeanor with my sunglasses on and a clipboard of notes in hand. I guess that’s all you need to take over a business these days.”

When questioned further about his feelings for the old team, Lachlan

added this:

“I don’t really care what happens to them. Jesse Brown’s is our store now. They had their time.”

The other members of the old team were similarly surprised. Christopher, former operations manager, even made an attempt to call authorities for an explanation during the altercation. He detailed his perception of the account as well:

“I couldn’t believe it. After all this time, I thought surely we would’ve received advance notice or some kind of warning. But no, it was instant. When I tried to call the owner’s phone number, Lachlan’s phone just started ringing. There was nothing we could do.”

The Aftermath

It’s hard to tell what the future of Jesse Brown’s holds after today. What we do know, however, is that they’ll always be your destination for hiking boots, travel clothes and luggage, and anything and everything fly fishing. Happy April Fools!
