New Adventure & Events at the Stowe Conservancy

Daniel Stowe Conservancy, formerly Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is one of the most-visited destinations in the Charlotte area. The property offers botanical gardens, trails, events, and more. CEO John Searby joins the Carolina Outdoors to share about updates, trails, and the upcoming Trails and Tunes event on September 20th.

Hiking and Updates at the Stowe Conservancy:

  • The Stowe Connector Trail, a segment of the Carolina Thread Trail, winds through the Stowe Conservancy and along Lake Wylie.
  • The Trailhead Store opened this past year, offering access to various trails. There are trail loops of different lengths which can be accessed without paying admission to the gardens.
  • Within the Botanical Gardens, the children’s garden has been expanded to over 9 acres and a 1/2-mile adventure trail has been added. The new Prairie Castle Playground was also recently opened.
  • Stowe Conservancy’s promise is to help all people find their path to nature. Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or new to the outdoors, the Conservancy offers trails and paths ranging from paved paths to natural surface trails.
