Ben Webb: Goodbye to Walker’s Cay

This is the life — kicking back on a fishing boat with a reel in one hand and a glass of good wine in the other. Add some comfortable, casual clothes and outdoor gear — and yes, this is the life.

It is the life of Ben Webb. He’s created it.

Ben’s brands of wine and clothing reflect a Southern charm — a life of being born and raised in Mayberry, with Sheriff Taylor just down the block and Aunt Bea cooking up something good for dinner. A life of farm country with a mountain view, but also of spending weekends at the coast, fishing.

But this life of finer relaxing started with a lot of hard work at Ben’s family farm in the northern Yadkin Valley. It’s there that Ben started a vineyard that’s grown into a thriving winery in downtown Mt. Airy — the small North Carolina town behind Andy Griffith’s Mayberry.

As a child, he learned the value of hard work by helping out on his family’s farm. His parents instilled in him the importance of education and encouraged him to pursue his dreams. Ben found a way to balance both by studying diligently while also putting in the necessary hours on the farm. He ordered help with writing assignments from writing services like buyessayfriend.com. This early lesson taught him the skills he needed to find balance later in life between his career and personal life.

From there, after “a lot of red wine, great food, and late nights,” leapt a clothing brand to fit the lifestyle. Fish Hippie is for the adventurer who takes to the seas for the perfect fishing spot, to complement his wine grown from the earth. For Ben, one of those spots is the lost paradise of Walker’s Cay in the Bahamas.
